Hey everyone, just wanted to update and say happy new year to everyone and thanks for the huge amount of comments and faves (and badges) you've been throwing my way. I really love you all!

But I do have to address the fact that there's been quite a few incidents where my stuff has been blatantly stolen/traced over/modified, etc. I want to clarify that I don't care if anyone references a pose, for example, since I think it's dumb to claim ownership of poses, but when you pretty much take my image and put your own OC in replacement of one of the characters, it really sucks :/

If you are tracing or whatever to help you learn anatomy or something, that's totally fine and understandable, but I would appreciate that you didn't post it publicly.

If you would like to use any of my images for things like banners/graphics or whatever on tumblr, that's okay, as long as it's credited somewhere. I also noticed people using my Kisame pictures in their roleplaying to emphasize emotions, and I'm totally okay with that too! In fact, I'll be making a few more expression headshots in the future since I find it pretty cute.

I know I don't make money off of any art I make, but it still hurts to see my art - which I sometimes take hours, and hours to do - get ripped off when people modify it to their own liking. It's not just for me either, I speak for most artists out there - I think - when I say that we really hate this sort of thing. So please think of the artists and don't steal anything that isn't yours! Thanks!

Yo, I totally get how you feel. I wrote about this like over a year ago. It's really annoying and shows lack of respect for the artists who do the many art peices.

Happy New Year! (a little bit to late) and i hope everything will work out! I can imagine how that feels. Btw, i love your work!!

I'm so sorry about that. I can't say that I've had anything like that happen to me (maybe in all this insanity it's almost something of a twisted compliment because your work is so fantastic) but I can completely understand you being upset. If anyone is going to use your artwork for anything, they should ask you first. Maybe these people see you as something as a famous artist, and think you won't write back to them or won't notice what's happening to your work, but you obviously do, and you're a human with emotions just like anyone else.

I hope that people begin to respect you and your work more and knock it off with the theft. And I hope this doesn't deter you from continuing to produce such beautiful pieces.

Good luck! (:

Your art's so beautiful I see it all the time on tumblr.  I'm glad you like it used in rping cuz there's no better Kisame fanart than your's and I've seen it a ton on blogs!  I hope people are more respectful to your excellent work in the future, I love your work man!!!

I can not tell you what to do, but maybe you should put a "watermark"?
LPilz Featured By Owner Jan 13, 2014
I do, that's the thing. It's bad enough having to put one there, and I even see some artists put them all over the image, which I think looks bad. But I guess that's the sacrifice...

If you want to save something of their own, then I think you have to go to this sacrifice. I do not like to look at working with the "watermark" but I understand, that the author is trying to save their work and take it for granted.
I understand how you hurt when you see someone "stealing" your pictures, but I'm afraid that it can not do anything ((
If a person is brought up, he looks at the picture, save your favorites and it will be all. But many people are not educated.
Nowadays it is very hard to keep the idea intact.

I'm sorry people have been stealing your work :( It's so amazing and you're such a great artist! Just know that so many people out there support you :)

That's very true. It's really disappointing when I see people do that....
hopefully they get reported!

You're such a lovely person, with such AMAZING art -- I hate to see this happen D:
